World Down’s Syndrome Day Flyerz Session

As well as being our Pride Night event at Nottingham Hockey Centre, Saturday 21st March is also World Down’s Syndrome Day.

Since setting up the Flyerz section in 2018, we have had the constant support of Notts Down’s Syndrome Support Group every Monday evening with around 20 children and young adults with Down’s Syndrome attending the sessions on a weekly basis.

To celebrate World Down’s Syndrome Day we are organising a special Flyerz session, meeting from 4:00pm in the Trophy Room and from 4:30pm on Pitch 3 (Pepsi Pitch). Those attending will then be invited to stay to watch and support the Men’s 1st team during their game against Southgate, walk out with the teams before pushback, and play on the pitch during half time.

To make this event possible we are looking for volunteers to help meet and greet at 4:00pm, assist during the session from 4:30pm, and also assist during half time.
