Mark Bateman Becomes Men's 1st Team Head Coach
The Club is delighted to announce that Mark Bateman has been appointed as the Men's 1st Team Head Coach.
Mark is a well-regarded coach with years of experience in high-level hockey. He is currently the England U21 Head Coach, as well as the Head Coach of the Great Britain Men's Elite Development Programme squad.
He joins the team at an exciting turning point. With the league transitioning to semi-professional, the Team has a huge opportunity to recruit some very exciting home-grown and overseas talent. Mark will be instrumental in this transition as part of the Club's long-term strategy to compete seriously in the League.
Mark will be joining a new First Team Management group that will see new faces join a management team with decades of experience with the Men's 1st Team, including David Griffiths (Chairman), Gareth Griffiths (Captain), Tom Eves (Manager), Stephen Wood and Richard Stamp (Assistant Coaches) and Cellan Griffiths (Communications).

Mark joins Beeston as the Men's 1st Team enters a new phase, with recruitment, performance support and semi-professional standards central to the Club's long-term strategy.
